Park visitors can identify points of interest, navigate around the park, and learn more about the significance of each location.

The Hermann Park Play app encourages users to share events, stories, and interesting facts about the park. Here, maintenance and repair reports can be made to the precinct and seen by other users.

Using the scan feature, visitors can take “Adventure Paths” and explore the park by following the numbered signs. Even for regular visitors, these paths can uncover new parts of a large park and encourage visits to seasonal events. Completing adventure paths earns points towards free local event tickets, such as Zoo Lights.

Alexa Baeza

Hi, I’m Alexa Baeza, a Latina designer raised in Houston Texas. I am receiving my Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from the University of Houston, with a minor in Energy & Sustainability in May 2021. My goal in design is to bring dreams into reality.

Up until a month before my college applications were due I thought I would pursue dentistry to make people smile, literally. However, I wanted to pursue a creative career. Even though I wasn’t sure of what an industrial designer was at the time, I loved the idea of creating things that would eventually make someone smile.

I’m constantly learning,  adapting, and lighting my curiosity so that I can do my best to leave the world a little better than I found it.
