Apollo is an every-day-carry self defense device that works like pepper spray, but with a few other tricks up its sleeve.

Its inconspicuous and elegant design doesn’t present a threat to attackers, which helps de-escalate any dangerous situations.

When activated, Apollo shines two 700 lumen LEDs that temporarily blind the attacker and takes a picture of the attacker’s face which is geotagged via the phone app and sent to authorities, followed by a release of gel type pepper spray. Police can then deploy immediately knowing where to go and who to look for.

The app offers options for sending quick pre-written “S.O.S” and “I’m safe“ messages to authorities and trusted contacts & a hotspots map that shows users which areas to avoid and where criminal events have taken place.

He believes the three most important tools for any designer are one’s brain and their two hands.
